Purpose and object of the International Foundation Papa Jack V. R.
The mission of the "International Foundation Papa Jack V. R." is to ensure and support the development and promotion of the orthopedic and prosthetic profession - that is, the profession of Orthopedic Technologists; being Bandagists, Orthopedists, Prosthetics and Orthopedic Shoemakers, and all those closely associated with the profession.
The main objectives of the "International Foundation Papa Jack V. R." include the promotion of the quality of orthopedic technical care for persons with disabilities in the broadest sense with special attention to the quality of their life and social integration, as well as medical, paramedical, therapeutic, social and economic aspects.
The "International Foundation Papa Jack V.R." aims to contribute to the above goals and objectives by providing appropriate support for the basic education and continuous lifelong training of orthopedic and prosthetic professionals, whose creative input can bring real added value to the lives of people with disabilities. The Foundation also aims to advance research and product development, and the conceptual framework of orthoptic care.
In addition, the "International Foundation Papa Jack V. R." aims to encourage the dissemination of information and to promote the communication and availability of the technical and accompanying documentation in all current and future forms.
In order to fulfill its mission, the International Foundation Papa Jack V. R." strives for contacts and cooperation with all national and international authorities, associations, in particular with regard to:
professional training:
- by promoting scientific and technical research,
- by developing and promoting standardization, compliance, guidance and regulation,
- by rewarding graduates in orthopedics and prosthetics with an annual prize for the best thesis,
quality of orthoptic and prosthetic services:
- by safeguarding the economic interests of its members,
- by defending and improving the living conditions of their patients;
- by "International Foundation Papa Jack V.R." awards for exceptional achievements and in the field of Orthopedic Technologies.

- by encouraging, participating in and carrying out any action that improves mutual communication and information exchange between its members and all stakeholders involved in the professional activities.
- by developing and continuously improving the Common International Nomenclature (INTERBOR) of Orthoses and Prostheses in accordance with ISO standards and the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) of the WHO, which can be found on the website from the "International Foundation Papa Jack VR"
